Highland Rim Speedway, Nashville Tennesee

PARKER MAKES THE LONG JOURNEY TO BOBBY HAMILTON JR.'S HIGHLAND RIM SPEEDWAY
The fourteen year old driver received a warm welcome from the knowledgeable fans on a sunny October weekend in the mountains just outside of Nashville.  On the track, Parker got up to speed quickly with the many regulars running their next to last points’ race of the season.  Parker qualified eighth in a fifteen car field and moved into the top five on several occasions in a late model feature marred by multiple yellow flags.  Late in the race Parker was involved in a two car spin with the track’s current points leader and was able to move back into eighth with only three laps remaining.  Bobby Hamilton Jr. asked, “Has the boy run a lot of small bowl ring tracks up north like The Rim.  He sure is getting around this place good.”  This was a fun road trip that provided valuable seat time while meeting the team objective to race multiple tracks for development of the young driver.

Loraine County Speedway, Amherst, Ohio

PARKER QUALIFIES FOURTEENTH OUT OF A TWENTY- FOUR CAR FIELD

Parker traveled to Loraine County Speedway where he qualified fourteenth in a field of veteran drivers on a very fast 3/8ths mile semi-banked speedway. Parker said, "If we could of had more than one practice session I think we could have qualified much faster." Due to a number of track issues including a late start on the night's racing events, the practice was cut short because of the late arrival of emergency crews. These circumstances allowed little time to make adjustments to the car. In the fifty lap late model feature, Parker successfully avoided a number of spins and crashes within the invert. He was running competitively until a puncture in the right front caused the young driver to pit late under a yellow. Parker returned and managed a thirteenth place finish.
